The 21st annual Maccabi Golf Presidents Cup will be held at The Vines Resort Perth, from 23rd-26th February 2023.

36 golfers representing our 3 golfing states will gather at the resort to challenge for this prestigious trophy.

Defending champions are NSW, who defeated VIC for the trophy at the 13th Beach in resort Victoria earlier in the year.

The 3-day competition has become the highlight of the Maccabi Australia Golfing calendar as golfers from all 3 states go through the qualifying process hoping to represent their state.

Maccabi NSW Golf President, David Felthun, and his committee have their state championships on November 2nd at Monash to assist with selection. A full field of over 120 golfers will ensure stiff competition.

Maccabi Victoria Golf President, Peter Janovic, has 2 more events left on the 2022 calendar after which the team will be announced.

For WA President, Ian Schwartz, there will be lots of work ahead, acting as both host as well as heading up the organizing committee after which he needs to then select a team – a team, that in the past, has continuously surprised the bigger states by being regular winners.

To date, the PC has been won by:

NSW 10 times, WA 6 times, VIC 4 times

The format over the 3 days differs on each day with the 12 golfers from each team competing as follows:

Day 1 being 4BBB match play

Day 2 is 4BBB Stableford aggregate

Day 3 individual match play

Opening day is Thursday 23rd February which is a practice round followed by the official Presidents dinner and team presentation.

The Presidents Cup falls under the umbrella of the Maccabi Golf Australia committee made up of the 3 state presidents and Allen Garb who continues in his role as President Maccabi Golf Australia.
