Triathlon: First event since February 2021
Despite a brief flurry of rain just before the start, 29 brave triathletes including two kids started the race.
Anthony Biggs was out the water first and was never under any pressure during the race and won in a respectable time of 67 minutes despite strong winds during the cycle.
Daniel Butt was out the water second on the back of great swim training and racing this season. He lost some time on the bike to fade to 7th place overall but put in a good performance.
Tim Lindop had a fantastic race finishing second with all round excellent performances in all three disciplines.
Craig pager had the best ride of the day coming from way behind with a slow swim to round out the podium with third place.
Other notable performances were by Bonne Lee and Guy Miller who did his first Maccabi triathlon
In the kids race a close tussle ensued with Ryan Miller ousting Dan Garfinkel by 6 seconds.
