Maccabi Victoria Volunteer Awards Presentation

The Maccabi Victoria Volunteer Awards Presentation was held last Sunday during National Volunteers’ Week. Clubs were invited to nominate a volunteer who stood out for their contribution and commitment to their club. Maccabi Victoria are grateful for the many volunteers who give countless hours to keep our clubs and programs running.

Maccabi Victoria President Brian Swersky said, “Our organisation simply would not exist without volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of Maccabi clubs and programs.”

“In Victoria, each week almost 4000 people compete as Jews, under the Maccabi banner, Maccabi Proud. These athletes are supported by the tireless efforts of thousands of volunteers in every capacity.”

Three major perpetual awards – the President’s Award, the Len Bogatin Award and the inaugural Jacquie Lerner Next Gen Volunteer Award – were also presented.
