Life membership is the highest honour accorded by Maccabi Australia (MAI) and confers membership on a person for the rest of his or her life. It recognises outstanding leadership and significant impact to Maccabi Australia over many years.

Board of Governors
The Maccabi Australia Board has established a Board of Governors for the purpose of ensuring that the legacy of the organisation is carried from one generation to the next. The purpose of the Board of Governors (BOG) is to provide support to the MAI Board in the following areas:
- Mentoring both directly and indirectly
- Strategic Input to the organisations future planning
- Wise Counsel
- General advice
The BOG shall consist of Maccabi Australia Life Members and other suitable individuals all of whom are appointed by the MAI Board.
