Jess Fox awarded Athlete of the Year
OLYMPIC gold medallist, Sydney’s Jessica Fox, added the Paddle Australia 2022 Athlete of the Year Award to her trophy cabinet last weekend.
In 2022, Fox won five World Cup golds, three World Championship medals (one gold, two silver), and the women’s single kayak World Cup title.
“It is an honour to win this award,” she said. “I had some ups and downs . . . but I was really happy with my performances.
“It’s also left me hungry to improve.”
Her mum and coach of Australia’s canoe slalom team, Myriam, was named a joint winner of Coach of the Year.
