MACCABI NSW HALL OF FAME SELECTION GUIDELINES
ADMINISTRATORS/COACHES/SUPPORT PERSONNEL
1. The primary requirement for selection in the category of Administrator/Coach/Support Personnel is a high level of achievement from personal effort or initiative in a field of endeavour that contributes to the performance of athletes or to the development and status of Maccabi NSW.
2. Candidates should have made a major contribution to their sport or to sport generally either at Maccabi level or at open level.
3. Candidates for selection in this category will generally be drawn from the following areas of sport involvement:
- Sports Administration
- Sports Coaching
- Sports Science
- Sports Media
4. Candidates will be seen as:
- Initiators
- Innovators whose work has been adopted widely
- Sports developers
- Achievers at the highest level of office or appointment
- Contributors to their sport or to Maccabi generally to an extraordinary extent.
5. Long term service or involvement with a sporting body or sport by a Candidate is not sufficient justification for selection without demonstrating outstanding achievement as stated above.
6. Nominations can be submitted to Maccabi NSW at any time online through this link [insert link].
7. Nominations will be called for no less than 6 months prior to the presentation date via Jewish press and electronic media.
8. Any nomination that has been considered but not selected by the Committee can be resubmitted at any time in the future.
9. Nominations for consideration by the Committee may be made by any person or organisation.
10. The Committee will be appointed by the Executive no later then the closing date for nominations and will comprise 3 persons. The Chairperson will be appointed by the Executive.
11. The Committee reserves the right to seek endorsement of any nomination by whatever means at their disposal.
12. The Committee will be the arbiter and will present the successful Candidate/s to the Executive for ratification no more than 1 month after the closing date for nominations.
13. Should there be failure to ratify, the Chairperson of the Committee and President of the Executive will meet to ascertain the circumstances of the failure to ratify within 7 days of presenting to the Executive.
14. No more than 3 candidates shall be inducted at any Hall of Fame Award Ceremony.
