Active Living
Exercise and movement is more than simply burning calories. There is so much more to it than that. The whole body benefits from working out are so numerous that we here at Maccabi LIFE want to help motivate and inspire you to get moving so you can feel and look your best. Going for a run protects you against heart disease, so prevalent in our community today, and increases your longevity. Lifting some weights revs up your metabolism and strengthens your bones. Exercise increases your cognitive performance, increasing memory, focus and concentration. Working out is the ultimate mood booster, a natural anti-depressant that is accessible to everyone. No one ever regrets finishing a great workout! We will help you to get moving so you feel amazing.
According to the Australian Health Guidelines, we need to be doing at between 2.5 – 5 hours of moderate activity per week and at least 2 days of strength training. And sitting / being sedentary as pushups, sit ups, squats and planks. Not only will you feel great, your body will change as you condition and build muscles, which are highly metabolically active. This helps to maintain whole body health, energy, strength and vitality every day.
