Last Saturday was a big and proud day of Caulfield and District Netball Association semi-finals for Maccabi AJAX Netball Club junior teams.
Seven of their teams were rewarded for making the top four in their age divisions by earning finals series spots.
Although nearly all of their teams were underdogs on the day, the scores for all matches were very close, every team fought hard and two Maccabi AJAX teams advanced with wins to the grand finals, to be held this Saturday.
The Penguins booked their spot in the U15 division 4 decider by outlasting the McKinnon Marvels by 19-17.
The Ravens also advanced in U15 division 5 by defeating the St Anthony’s Mercury by 19-11.
Maccabi AJAX sides that bowed out in close contests were:
- Rebels in U18 division 4 (15-18 v Elwood Panthers)
- Eagles in U15 division 2 (17-18 v Carnegie Colts)
- Crows in U15 division 1 (25-30 v Revolution)
- Hummingbirds in U15 division 3 (17-27 v Ormond Fire)
- Jaguars in U13 division 2 (15-20 v Carnegie Cruise)
Get down and support our MANC grand finalists this coming Saturday (28 June) at Duncan McKinnon at 9.15am.
Go Maccabi!
