U13 Eagles Grand Finals Match Report
This past weekend, the Maccabi Eagles, coached by Zoe Aarons, faced off against the undefeated Elwood Spiders in the Under 13, Division 1 netball Grand Final. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the teams prepared for the highly anticipated match.
The Eagles started strong, with their mid-court and goaling team setting the pace and securing a lead by quarter time. Their cohesive play and sharp focus gave them an early advantage against the formidable Spiders.
Throughout the game, the Eagles’ defence put up a valiant effort, and the shooters worked tirelessly to create scoring opportunities. Despite their best efforts and commendable teamwork, Elwood’s consistent performance in the second half allowed them to pull ahead.
The final score saw the Elwood Spiders clinch the victory with a 20-11 win over the Eagles. While the result was not in Maccabi’s favour, the team showcased their determination and skill throughout the match.
Special recognition goes to Summer Klinger and Rachel Naphtali, who were named best on court for their outstanding performances.
The Maccabi Eagles can hold their heads high after a season filled with hard work and memorable moments. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and supporters for their dedication and effort this season.
