Since the 1920s, Carnivals have been the landmark event connecting Jewish athletes throughout Australia.
In 1982, Maccabi held its first Junior Carnival which brings together young people, from across Australia and New Zealand, in an atmosphere of sporting competition, social interaction, fun & leisure.
For some participants, it is their first introduction to a wider Jewish community, generating new friendships and pride in their Jewish identity.
Maccabi Victoria aims to give every eligible child the opportunity to participate in Junior Carnival.
We are grateful for the generous support of The George Castan Family Charitable Trust in supporting this Program.
Your donation will support young Jewish athletes to attend Carnival and share in a memorable experience.
