Anyone who has made a significant and lasting contribution to Maccabi Victoria through sport, leadership or service.
This includes athletes, coaches, volunteers, administrators and others who have had a meaningful impact.
Nominations can be submitted by anyone, including members of the public, clubs, or the Maccabi Victoria Board.
To be considered eligible for induction into the Maccabi Victoria Hall of Fame, whether during their lifetime or posthumously, individuals must fulfil all of the following criteria:
6.1 Be a Jewish Victorian.
6.2 Possess integrity, good character, and have consistently exhibited sportsmanship.
6.3 Must either currently reside in Victoria or have previously resided in Victoria for a significant period during which they made a contribution to sport.
6.4 Has made a significant and positive impact and has a record of outstanding and exceptional performance, service, or contribution over a significant period of time, which can be demonstrated through either:
(a) excellence and outstanding performance, service, or contribution directly to Maccabi or an affiliated club in a role such as an athlete, coach, health services provider, administrator, trainer, media representative, sports science and technology expert, umpire, referee, or judge;
(b) as a Jewish Victorian who has also been demonstrably involved with Maccabi, a record of outstanding sporting performance or service within Australian or international sport in a role such as an athlete, coach, health services provider, administrator, trainer, media representative, sports science and technology expert, umpire, referee, or judge; or
(c) as a Jewish Victorian, a record of outstanding sporting performance or service within Australian or international sport in a role such as an athlete, coach, health services provider, administrator, trainer, media representative, sports science and technology expert, umpire, referee, or judge.

Nominations can be made both during a person’s lifetime and posthumously.
Inductions are typically held every five years.
Up to 10 individuals may be inducted in each cycle.
Yes.
However, if a nominee has been considered three times without new supporting information, they may no longer be eligible for future nomination.
‘Legend’ is a special category within the Hall of Fame.
It recognises individuals who have made an exceptional, long-term impact and left a lasting legacy in sport and the Maccabi community.
