Maccabi Victoria thrives on the passionate, committed, knowledgeable, and skilled efforts of our volunteers. They are truly the lifeblood of our organisation, empowering our players to passionately pursue their preferred sports and activities while also nurturing a sense of unity and camaraderie within our community. Thanks to them, we are proud to be among Australia’s most robust sporting networks. We deeply appreciate our volunteers’ significant contributions to Governance, the Foundation, each club, and every Event/Project Committee.

To express our gratitude, we host the Maccabi Victoria Volunteer Cocktail Reception during National Volunteer Week. This event is an opportunity to individually thank our valuable Maccabi Victoria volunteers. At this occasion, all Maccabi clubs are invited to nominate one standout volunteer to receive special recognition.

Moreover, three major perpetual awards are presented during the event. Firstly, the President’s Award is a unique honour, bestowed at the discretion of the Maccabi Victoria President, acknowledging an individual’s sustained contribution and exceptional service to Maccabi Victoria. Secondly, the Len Bogatin Award pays tribute to an administrator who has shown outstanding contributions to both Maccabi Victoria and Jewish Sport. Lastly, the Jacquie Lerner Next Gen Volunteer Award is designed to recognise the dedication and leadership of our young volunteers at Maccabi Victoria.

The Annual Maccabi Sports Awards is a significant occasion that recognises the extraordinary achievements within our Australian Jewish sporting community. These awards celebrate the dedicated athletes who have shown remarkable performances in their respective sports.

We honour our promising young talents with the Maccabi Outstanding Junior Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards, and recognise athletes who’ve overcome challenges with the Maccabi Outstanding All Abilities Sportsperson Award. The Maccabi Outstanding Masters Sportsman Award commends seasoned competitors for their exceptional performances. Our Maccabi Outstanding Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards celebrate the adult athletes who have truly excelled in their sports.
