Hall of Fame
The Maccabi Victoria
Hall of Fame was established in 2000
It honours Jewish athletes, coaches and administrators who have made a significant contribution to sport in Victoria.
75 exceptional members of the Maccabi family were inducted into the inaugural Hall of Fame. A further 17 outstanding sportspersons were inducted in March 2006, 8 in 2011, 10 in 2016 and 10 in 2021 (ceremony held in 2022).
Members are nominated for outstanding service, individual record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and number of years of service.
A special category, Legends of Jewish Sport, honours those who have had the most significant impact on Jewish sport.
The Hall of Fame Charter outlines the selection process for new inductees to be brought into the Hall every five years.
A Hall of Fame Club has been formed and conducts social functions for Hall of Fame members.
