Join the Carni Social Committee – Be the Face and Voice of Carni 2026
What is Maccabi Junior Carnival? Carni is the biggest annual Jewish youth event in Australia — a week-long festival of competitive sport, epic social events, and unforgettable memories. It brings together Jewish teens from across the country (and NZ) for one massive experience that’s all about connection, fun, and community.
In 2026, it’s happening in Victoria — and we’re looking for a standout crew to lead the way on socials.
Are you creative and confident?
We’re forming a small, elite team of students (aged 15–16) to join the Carni Social Committee — the official youth crew driving Maccabi Junior Carnival’s social media and comms.
This is more than content creation. It’s leadership, media experience, and a chance to make your mark on one of the biggest Jewish youth events in Australia.
What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with the Maccabi Victoria marketing team to brainstorm, plan, and co-create content in the lead-up to Carni.
- Help shape Instagram Reels, TikToks, and other communications that actually speak to your generation.
- Be in front of the camera for promo videos and social content — think skits, interviews, behind-the-scenes reels.
- Contribute to monthly team meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Play a key role in promotions and youth engagement.
What You’ll Gain:
- Real work experience in marketing, communications, and digital media.
- A leadership title you can list on your CV, LinkedIn or uni applications.
- A referee or letter of recommendation from the Maccabi Victoria Head of Marketing.
- Portfolio-worthy content — you’ll be part of actual campaigns seen by thousands.
- Be part of an energetic, creative crew working on a national-level event.
Who We’re Looking For:
- You’ll be in Year 9 or 10 in 2026 (currently Year 8 or 9).
- You’re confident, social media savvy, and comfortable on camera.
- You’re reliable, creative, and want to do something different with your time.
- You’re keen to lead, contribute, and build something you’re proud of.
- And of course – you’re keen to be a part of the Carni ’26 magic!
