First Athletes Selected For 2019 Pan Am Games

Maccabi Australia congratulates the following athletes, the first selected to represent Australia at the 2019 Pan Am Games, on the Men’s Basketball Team.

The Maccabi Youth Warriors League has produced 11 of the 12 players selected in the Open Men’s Basketball Team to go to Mexico. The Maccabi Youth League continues to be a great Maccabi development ground for high performing players. The Youth League builds the bridge between juniors and seniors, and is a true pathway program for basketball at Maccabi Victoria.
We look forward to seeing this team compete against Mexico, USA, Brazil, Argentina and Peru; under the outstanding management of Susannah Swiatlo, and coaching by experienced NBL veteran Al Westover (former player in Australian NBL and coach of the Melbourne Tigers).
