NSW Tenpin: 2021 Greg Small Tournament

The Greg Small tournament was held on Monday night 13th December at Manhattan Bowl.

We had 51 Bowlers attend and it was a fantastic event.

  • Tournament Director Ronnie Lang did a fantastic job, organising the event.
  • Big Mention goes to Manhattan Bowl for being so accommodating, providing great food and being so efficient at the check in.
  • So special the Small Family came along to support the event and Josh presented the Trophy to the winners.

 

Last Monday over fifty tenpin bowlers, plus some of Greg’s family, gathered at Manhattan Bowl, Mascot, to honour Greg by competing for the Greg Small Memorial Trophy, a handicap tournament.

 

After the four preliminary rounds the leaders in the men’s division (including handicap) were

Dean Coulpasis on 971, Mark Ho on 920 and Justin Kennedy on 902. In the first playoff,

Justin beat Mark 243 to 206 but in the final Dean was too strong for Justin and won 270 to 218.

 

The women’s division was headed by Deidre Libbert on 834 followed by Naomi Baram on 811 and Sylvia Walters on 807.

In the first playoff Sylvia won a close game beating Naomi 225 to 218.

The final was another close game with Deidre beating Sylvia 226 to 216.

The trophies were presented by Joshua Small, Greg’s son, on behalf of the family.
