The 2023 Maccabi national lawn bowls carnival recently concluded at Mermaid Beach Bowling Club on the Gold Coast. Over 50 players, hailing from Maccabi Victoria, NSW, WA, Qld, and SA, descended on the venue, creating a buzz with their skilful play and friendly banter.

WA’s Strong Performance The WA team, responsible for the management of this year’s carnival, showed strong form, taking home the Men’s Shield and impressing in both pairs and triples competitions.

Victoria and Women’s Sport A highlight of the carnival was Victoria clinching the Women’s Shield. This victory underscores a broader narrative: 2023 has been a spectacular year for women in sport.
