Undefeated Streak! Ajax Junior Football Club’s U18 COMETS Make History in Division 1
The AJAX Junior Football Club’s Division 1 U18 team, the Comets coached by Ryan Klooger and Maor Chrapot is having an outstanding season. With an undefeated record, they have achieved an incredible milestone, going 12 rounds without a single loss!
It is also the first time that AJAX has had a team play in Division 1 of this age group, making this achievement particularly exciting – WELL DONE TEAM COMETS!
Recent Match Report: AJAX 6.14.50 Defeats Mordialloc-Braeside 4.7.31
In their latest match, the U18 AJAX Comets secured a solid victory over Mordialloc-Braeside. From the outset, AJAX set the pace with numerous scoring attempts, taking the lead 13-7 by the end of the first quarter. Despite initial inaccuracy in front of goal, with a tally of 1.7, their defensive strength kept their opponents at bay.
The second term saw AJAX improve their scoring efficiency and extend their lead to 26-15 by halftime. The third quarter was a turning point as AJAX eliminated their earlier inefficiencies, showcasing excellent teamwork and skill inside the 50, particularly from Bailey Nussbaum and Samuel Ickowicz. Their efforts resulted in a 24-point lead, highlighting the depth and talent within the team.
In the final term, AJAX’s relentless pressure continued to pay off. Despite a determined effort from Mordialloc-Braeside, who added two goals and one behind, AJAX maintained their composure and added another 10 points, securing a 19-point win with a final score of 6.14.50 to 4.7.31.
