- All Abilities swimming program on Sunday morning at Bialk College Gringlas Sports Centre
- The Club was delighted to welcome back Tommy Eylon into the role of Senior Coach during the year. We look forward to her dynamic energy and approach, to help build the junior squad into a competitive unit.
- Including Tommy, we now have four coaches with a formal Development Coach accreditation through Swimming Australia.
- Andrew Maver, a former Club President and a Life Member, swam the English Channel in July this year. We had the pleasure of Andrew joining the Club open water swimming enthusiasts a few mornings at Elwood beach for a training swim. In September we held a special evening event for our Masters swimmers and Andrew’s invited guests to celebrate his success in swimming the 50km swim in 11hrs 30mins. Thank you to Adam Posner for taking the lead on organising this event.
- Andy’s talk to our Junior squad about his Channel swim was similarly a great success – thanks Andy Maver for taking the time out to do so.
As a Club we are very proud of our All Abilities program and the fantastic swim coaches that make this happen every Sunday morning at the Bialik College Gringlas Sports Centre.
- Our plans are to expand our attendance of the All Abilities program and we have appointed a committee member dedicated to the All Abilities program.
- We will continue to build our junior squads for competition readiness and future Maccabiah participation.
