🏏 Maccabi Squash and Racquetball Club
The club continued to build momentum in 2025, with steady participation and a noticeable lift in training activity. The expanded training offering at Moorabbin Squash has attracted new faces and strengthened the consistency of weekly sessions. The improved structure has helped create a more reliable base for the club’s long-term growth.
Racquetball remains part of the club’s offering, continuing the direction set when the club moved its programs to Moorabbin Squash in 2024. This broadened program has given members more ways to stay involved and active.
2025 Impact
Membership Snapshot
- 12 members in 2025
The D Grade team backed up last year’s grand final appearance with another strong campaign. After falling just short in the 2024 decider, the group has again pushed deep into the season and will return to the Grand Final in the coming weeks. Their consistency has been a major positive for the club and a sign of strong team cohesion.
Several long-standing members have shown interest in supporting the club’s future through financial contributions. Conversations are underway about how this support can best be channelled to boost participation, upgrade equipment, and continue strengthening the training program.
The committee has also placed a focus on gradually growing membership by:
- fine-tuning weekly training structure
- keeping sessions open and welcoming
- maintaining the mix of squash and racquetball opportunities
The priority for 2026 is clear:
- continue building the training base at Moorabbin
- grow membership steadily
- explore sustainable financial support
- strengthen the racquetball pathway
- support the D Grade team’s competitiveness and aim for ongoing finals appearances
With solid foundations now in place and renewed interest from the playing group, the club is well set for its next stage of growth.
