🏓 Maccabi Victoria Table Tennis Club

The Table Tennis Club continued to compete strongly across the 2025 calendar year, fielding teams from Division 1 through Division 4 in the Table Tennis Victoria Pennant competition at MSAC. The club maintained a steady presence across all three seasons, with several standout performances that reflected both depth and consistency.

2025 Impact

Strong Representation Across All Divisions

Maccabi teams competed in Divisions 1, 2, 3 and 4 across all 2025 Pennant seasons. This consistent representation ensured members at every level had access to structured competition and opportunities to progress.

Division 4 Semi Finalists

The Season 2 Division 4 team — Andrew Shostak, Sam Parasol, Marc Listmangof and Shmuli Bloom — delivered an excellent campaign. After leading the ladder for most of the season, the team advanced to the Semi Finals. Their consistency and teamwork were a highlight of the year.

Outstanding Individual Achievement

David Segal represented Maccabi in Division 1, the highest level of competition at MSAC. He finished as the competition’s leading player for two seasons. Given the depth and standard of Division 1, this achievement stands out as one of the club’s strongest individual results in recent years.

Club Nights at Phoenix Park

Regular club competition continued at Phoenix Park on Monday and Thursday evenings. These sessions remain a cornerstone of the program, offering:

  • Match play for all levels

  • A stable pathway for new players

  • A reliable training rhythm for competitive athletes

Attendance remained strong throughout the year, including returning members and several new players.

Junior Development Focus

A key area of growth this year was the renewed effort to build a junior pathway. Planning began for:

  • Expanded coaching sessions

  • Beginner and intermediate programs

  • Extra training blocks for competition readiness

These initiatives form the foundation for a much larger junior program in 2026.

State-Level Representation

Maccabi athletes continued to compete at MSAC in the Table Tennis Victoria leagues, ensuring ongoing exposure to high-level play and strengthening competitive readiness.
