History in the Making: The Rise of the MANC CANONS
In a significant milestone for the Maccabi Ajax Netball community, a new chapter has unfolded with the introduction of the club’s very first mixed senior netball team – the MANC CANONS. Last night marked a milestone as they took to the court, launching their inaugural game and setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable season.
Despite the final score not reflecting their hopes, the debut game was anything but a disappointment. The team shared with us a candid reflection of the night, “While the score wasn’t fun, the game surely was 😂.”
The enthusiasm within the team is palpable. They’re already predicting a bright future, confident that with a bit more practice and a firmer grasp of the rules, their potential is limitless. The statement, “they reckon once the guys nail the rules, they’re going to be unstoppable,” speaks volumes of their determination and positive outlook.
The establishment of the MANC CANONS is more than just the addition of a new team; it’s a symbol of growth and inclusivity within the sport of netball. As we wish the team all the best for the season, we also celebrate the broader impact of their formation. They’re not just playing games; they’re breaking ground, challenging norms, and inspiring others to join in the journey.
As the season progresses, we’ll continue to share updates and highlights from the MANC CANONS’ journey. We are #MaccabiProud.
