Three Maccabi-AJAX Junior Cricket Club players scored half centuries in round 3 last Sunday.

Orlando Cherny scored his second unbeaten one so far this season for the U15 Warriors, reaching 51 not out off 54 deliveries in his team’s 36-run win over Oakleigh. After setting a target of 126, the U15 Warriors bowled their opponents out for 90.

Jordan Suss scored a PB of 50 not out off 46 balls for the U15 Titans in a six-wicket win against Narren Warren.

Gilad Lowinger scored an unbeaten 51 off 27 balls and then took 4/10 in five overs in Maccabi-AJAX U17s’ defeat of Carnegie, who were bowled out for 74 while attempting to chase a target of 136.

The club’s U13 Chargers made 5/133 (Max Raleigh 36 not out, Hayden Kave 29 not out) against Parkdale, who could only manage 6/106.

Their U11 player of the round was Raphy Silverman from team orange, who scored 29 runs and took 3/21 in a two-run defeat to Glen Iris.

In girls’ cricket, Maccabi-AJAX formed a merged U14B team with Washington Park. They beat Toorak Prahran by 25 runs in the first round (Aria Friedman 17 runs and 1/8, Yakira Savicky 15 runs) and lost by 17 runs last week to East Malvern Tooronga.
