Recap: Basketball Victoria Summer Season 23/24

Basketball Victoria Summer Season 23/24 was another big one with 80 plus teams competing across U8-U18 age groups. An overwhelming number of parents heeded the call to get involved in our Coaching Program. This strong community support of our basketball program saw our children develop their basketball fundamentals in a nurturing environment. The feedback from players and parents has been extremely positive with many parents returning next season to coach as well as new parents to be welcomed to the program.

30 Teams competed in the semi-finals and 15 Teams competed in Grand Finals. Of the 15 incredible Teams which competed last weekend we are delighted to announce the following winners:

In preparation for next Season we recently completed a fun two week try-out period which gave our coaches the opportunity to assess players fundamental skills, attitude and team dynamics. Winter Season 2024 Teams will be shared shortly. We can’t wait to see our players back on court in April and would like to remind you of Winter Season 2024 Key Dates:
  • Waverley Players: training begins week of Monday 8th of April  and games the weekend of Saturday 13th April
  • Mckinnon Players: training begins week of Monday 8th of April and games the weekend of Saturday 20th April
