Exciting News from the 2025 Maccabiah Games
Exciting News from the 2025 Maccabiah Games!
The 2025 Games are on, and Israel will be just as ready as in 2022. This message was strongly conveyed by the Maccabiah Management Team at the recent Congress in Israel.
Our leadership team spent 10 days at the Maccabi World Union Congress, returning with renewed passion to build the biggest team for the games in July 2025. Planning is on track, and enthusiasm from the countries involved is at an all-time high, with expectations of their largest delegations yet. The sense of community and purpose among the delegations was incredible, emphasising the importance of connecting as one.
We acknowledge concerns about Israel’s current challenges but report that life in the main cities is nearly back to normal. We will provide regular updates on Israel’s status and the games, and we are confident that by July 2025, the situation will be stable.
The Maccabi World Union has government support, underscoring the games’ importance in restoring confidence. We already have over 520 participants and aim to recruit at least 300 more. This event will be a significant celebration of Jewish pride and sport in Israel over the next 16 months.
Israel’s warm hospitality was deeply appreciated, with consistent messages of gratitude and the importance of attending the games.
Now it’s up to us to connect as one—with MWU, Israel, our global community, our history, and our Jewish identity.
Join our final national Zoom on Thursday, June 20th, for the latest updates and application details. Remember, applications for M25 close at the end of June 2024—don’t miss out!
