Indoor Netball
Rachel Naphtali’s knack for netball has so far seen her play for Caulfield in the U13 division 1 representative competition and for Maccabi AJAX in U15s.
Now the talented youngster is making her mark at the national level in a new, faster and rapidly growing form of the sport.
Last week, Naphtali represented Victoria in the 12-and-under girls’ comp at Indoor Netball Australia’s 2025 national championships in Perth.
Her team were runners-up to Western Australia in the six-per-side grand final and placed third on the seven-per-side ladder.
Played on indoor courts surrounded by netting, indoor netball eliminates stoppage time caused by out-of-bounds ball retrieval, has slightly shorter quarters and in the seven-per-side format, offers two-point scoring opportunities from outside the circle.
Naphtali played in both defensive and attacking positions in Victoria’s 21 games.
Her significant contribution saw her picked as one of only 12 players in a national all stars squad for her age group.
