Maccabi FC Caulfield – Round 17 Wrap
It was another action-packed weekend for our junior teams in Round 17!
We are in the final stretch of the season, with 3 rounds left to go on Sundays 24 August, 31 August, and 7 September.
The teams with chances to get into the finals are U12 Boys Orange and U13 Boys Orange (both third on the ladder) – Go Maccabi!
U8 Boys Wasps Orange: A brilliant 2–1 win out in Croydon. The kids put in a great shift and came away with the points.
U8 Boys Wasps Blue: An amazing 4–2 win against Box Hill. To top it off, one of our boys scored his first goal of the season!
U9 Girls Gorry: The girls finally cracked it for their first win of the season and what a way to do it! A convincing 3–0 victory over Port Melbourne with goals from Isabelle Showyin (2) and Mila Berman (1). A huge effort and a great example of sticking at it and never giving up.
U18 Kerr Girls: Went down 3–1 to Ringwood (goal: Maya Goldschlager), but the score didn’t reflect the game. With only one on the bench, it was always going to be tough, but the girls fought hard right until the end.
