Maccabi FC Caulfield Kicks Off the 2025 Season
After a standout 2024 season that saw Maccabi FC Caulfield grow to over 750 players, the club is back on the pitch and bigger than ever. From Little Strikers and MiniRoos to junior boys and girls, Soccer Mums, Walking Football and the All Abilities Mighty Bees Program – there’s something for everyone this season.
No matter the result – wins, draws, or losses – each match is an opportunity for growth, connection and a chance to play the game we love. Let’s get behind every player as they lace up and represent Maccabi on the field.
Round 1 snaps at Caulfield Park:
Round 1 Highlight – Star Power and a Big Win
Unbelievable scenes at Caulfield Park! Israeli international and Melbourne City FC midfielder Yonatan Cohen dropped by to support our U12 Blue team in their season opener. The boys didn’t disappoint, delivering a cracking 10–1 win over Mazenod FC. Talk about making an impression!
Health and Safety First
A special shoutout to Nelson from Hatzolah Melbourne who recently delivered vital first aid training for Maccabi FC. We hope we never need to use it, but we’re grateful to be better prepared thanks to Nelson’s time and expertise.
Walking Football Keeps Growing
Our Walking Football program continues to grow, with players representing Maccabi at the recent national Walking Football tournament in Queensland. Thanks to @footballqld for hosting a brilliant weekend – big effort from our three representatives who travelled from Caulfield to take part!
We’re also launching a new Walking Football group for people living with Parkinson’s, starting Saturday 3 May at 10am. Sessions will be held weekly at the Extreme football field behind Caulfield Park bowls club. A gentle, social way to stay active – and everyone is welcome.
Introducing: Macca-Bee of the Week
This season, we’re launching a new tradition: Macca-Bee of the Week – recognising one player from each team who demonstrates outstanding character, effort and team spirit. Our first recipient? Ethan Grosberg from the U11 Hornets Orange team. Well played, Ethan!
Winners will receive a voucher for a free kids’ meal (pita + chips) courtesy of our new club partner, The Pita Man – home of the best falafel in town. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the Maccabi FC family and can’t wait to share more with you throughout the season.
